Coffee & Conversation Edition
The Great Family Expedition: Coffee & Conversation Edition
A Thoughtful (and Slightly Overcaffeinated) Travel Guide
Hosted by the illustrious Karon Watt Wehling
Location: 16 Tan Oak Lane, Sunriver, OR
Date: Wednesday, July 16
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (a.m. = coffee o’clock)
Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It):
Gather ye, beloved relatives, for a morning of reconnecting, reminiscing, and politely pretending we remember each other’s middle names.
This is not your average coffee stop—this is family bonding, slow-sipped. Whether you’ve just woken up or have already run a marathon by sunrise (we see you, overachievers), you’re invited to join in for a low-key, high-love gathering.
How to Arrive Without Annoying the HOA Gods:
Sunriver is a beautiful, tranquil land filled with trees, bike paths, and very serious parking rules.
Parking is extremely limited, so unless you want your car to star in a neighborhood drama, please:
-
Walk
-
Bike
-
Get dropped off
-
Borrow a llama (optional, but majestic)
Let’s respect the peace of the pines, and Karon’s neighbors, who are not part of the reunion (yet).
What’s Brewing:
-
Hot coffee, warm hearts, and probably that one cousin who drinks tea and insists it’s better
-
Stories from the past, plans for the future, and a healthy amount of “remember when…”
-
A chance to sit, sip, and slow down—because family isn’t just about the big events, it’s also the little moments in between
-
A reminder that love is best served in mugs and conversation
Things to Bring:
-
A smile, a story, or a sleepy face—we’ll take you as you are
-
Comfortable shoes for that scenic stroll or bike ride
-
A gentle reminder to leave your car somewhere else
Come as you are, caffeinate as needed, and enjoy a sweet slice of family time.
Karon has the porch ready, the coffee brewing, and the door wide open.
Let’s catch up. Let’s laugh. Let’s linger.
We’ll see you there.
